Four teams have been invited to play at the Games Convention in Leipzig (Germany) for the KODE5 CM Storm 2008 Invitational.

This weekend, mTw, Fnatic, TBH.eSports and Team Alternate will be battling it out for $1,450 worth of prizes from Coollermaster. However, fans will also be able to get their hands on some prizes from Coolermaster.

『WCG2008』決勝戦で惜しくも代表の座を逃した Lunatic Hai が、Seoul Jinhwa を破り優勝しました。
一方、『WCG2008』韓国代表に選ばれた eSTRO は 3 位となっています。

龍山（ヨンサン）e スポーツ常設競技場で録画放送として行われた『2008 大韓民国 FPS 対戦』決勝戦で、Lunatic Hai は Seoul Jinhwa（旧 Maven）に 2:0 で完勝した。

決勝戦は、実力と経験が豊富な Lunatic Hai の勝利だった。Lunatic Hai は、第 1 競技で前後半ひっくるめて 3 失点という完璧な競技力で 16 ： 3 の勝利を収め、機先を制した。

気勢が高まる Lunatic Hai は、第 2 競技でも前半戦を 12:3 で勝利し、簡単に優勝カップが手に入るかと思われた。第 2 競技に負けた場合優勝を明け渡すことになる Seoul Jinhwa は後半戦、猛烈な気勢で追撃を開始し 15:14 まで追撃に成功した。しかし勝利の女神は Lunatic Hai に微笑んだ。Lunatic Hai は後半戦最後の 15 ラウンドで焦って攻撃に出た Seoul Jinhwa の選手を制圧し勝利、セットスコア 16:14 で競技を締めくくった。

これにより Lunatic Hai は Counter-Strike Online 初の大規模大会である『2008 大韓民国 FPS 対戦』優勝を果たし、優勝賞金 2,000 万ウォンと優勝トロフィーの主人公になった。一方準優勝の Seoul Jinhwa は賞金 1,000 万ウォンを与えられた。放送はなかったが、3 位決定戦では eSTRO が theNucleus を 2:0 で撃退し 3 位となり、500 万ウォンの賞金を受け取った。

『Cyber Athlete Competition(CyAC)』が、交通費や宿泊費負担の合宿などを行う『FPS部』の設立を発表しました。

「目指せアメリカ！でも本当は日本予選」来年のESWC予選出場に向けてクランを作り練習していく。
例えば、数回合宿とかして同じ釜の飯を食い合って熱くFPS談義をしながら練習をする。

参加条件

• 合宿は年3〜4回で滋賀県に来れる人(交通費宿泊食事代は支給)※合宿の日程は、夏休み、冬休みなどを考慮し立てさせて頂きます。
• 最低でも週末コミュニティーに参加できる人
• 最低週3回は練習に参加できる人
• 熱い情熱を持った人
• FPS が好きならば腕前は基本関係なし
• クラン戦とか興味あっても参加できなかった人や、もちろん俺は FPS は得意って人も OK ですよ。
• 詳しい内容は連絡いただいた方にお知らせいたします。

人数としては、10名ほどを募集予定で活動は9月からの開催を予定しているとのこと。
